The Long Sword is a long, elegant katana-style blade. It's all about landing hits to fill your Spirit Gauge and using it for powerful Spirit attacks.

How it plays

Regular attacks fill the Spirit Gauge; Spirit Blade combos spend it to raise your sword's level, which boosts your damage. Counter moves let you dodge an attack and strike back at once.

In Monster Hunter Wilds, every weapon can also use Focus Mode to aim attacks at wounds, and Focus Strikes to hit those wounds hard. You can carry a second weapon on your Seikret and swap between them in the field.

Keep your gauge upA higher Spirit level means more damage – work towards it early in the fight.
