Phantom Liberty is Cyberpunk 2077's only story expansion – a spy thriller set in Dogtown, a lawless, walled-off part of Pacifica. V teams up with FIA agent Solomon Reed (Idris Elba) and the netrunner Songbird to save the President of the New United States, and soon has to decide who to trust.

How to start it
From an existing saveFinish the main job Transmission (after M'ap Tann Pèlen and I Walk the Line). Songbird then calls V and the expansion begins.
Skip aheadStart a new game and choose to jump straight to Phantom Liberty. V starts at level 20 with preset gear, right after Transmission.
Old saves get a refundLoading a save from before Update 2.0 refunds your perk and attribute points so you can rebuild V.
The big choice (light spoilers)
During the mission Firestarter you have to choose between helping Songbird or Reed. Your choice and what follows decide which of the expansion's endings you get – and two of the routes unlock a brand-new ending for the base game. See our endings guide for the details (spoilers).
