Player housing is Midnight's headline feature: a home of your own in a shared neighborhood that you can decorate and invite others to. It opened in early access with patch 11.2.7 on December 2, 2025 for players who pre-purchased Midnight, and for everyone else when Midnight launched on March 2, 2026.

How to get your first home

1. Pick up the questLog in with Midnight and accept the housing breadcrumb quest.
2. Follow the chainA House For You → My First Home → Welcome Home → Time to Decorate.
3. Claim a plotChoose your neighborhood and plot, then place your first decor.

Neighborhoods

  • Alliance: Founder's Point
  • Horde: Razorwind Shores

Each neighborhood has 50 plots. You can own two homes across your Warband – one per faction – and characters of either faction can visit your home and wander the neighborhood it's in.

Getting there

Neighborhood PortalIn the Stormwind or Orgrimmar portal room.
Teleport HomeFrom the Housing Dashboard (key H) – like a Hearthstone, 15-minute cooldown.

Decorating

Decor comes from a huge range of content: achievements, vendors, Renown, Prey, raids and more – even the Season 2 raid boss drops trophies for your home. Everything you unlock goes into your decor catalog, ready to place. Transmog outfits can even switch automatically when you walk into your house.

Tips

  • Pick your plot calmly – neighbors and the view matter more than you'd think.
  • Many older achievements now reward decor, so it pays to check the catalog for easy unlocks.
  • Housing is a long-term collection goal, just like mounts and transmog.
