Elden Ring has six endings. After you defeat the final boss you choose what happens to the Elden Ring – and which choices you get depends on the questlines you finished and the items you carry. This page contains story spoilers.

All six endings

Age of FractureThe default ending. Beat the final boss and choose to mend the Elden Ring with no special Rune. Always available.
Age of OrderComplete Brother Corhyn and Goldmask's questline and get the Mending Rune of Perfect Order.
Age of the DuskbornComplete Fia's questline through Deeproot Depths and Lichdragon Fortissax to get the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince.
Blessing of DespairComplete the Dung Eater's questline to get the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse.
Lord of Frenzied FlameReceive the Three Fingers' Frenzied Flame below Leyndell's Subterranean Shunning-Grounds. Changes the ending – it can be undone with Miquella's Needle.
Age of the StarsFinish Ranni the Witch's long questline through Nokron, the Lake of Rot and Moonlight Altar, then summon her at the end.

How choices work

The Mending Runes decide most endings: you pick them up from quest characters and use them on the Elden Ring after the final fight. The Frenzied Flame is different – it changes the ending as soon as you accept it, unless you cure it with Miquella's Needle (found in the Haligtree area, used at the Dragonlord Placidusax arena).

The Age of the Stars is often called the "true" or most rewarding ending, but none is the official canon – pick the one that fits your Tarnished.

Tips

Point of no returnOnce you burn the Erdtree at the Forge of the Giants, Leyndell becomes the Ashen Capital and several questlines end. Finish quests before that.
Every ending in one runGather the Mending Runes before the final fight. After the credits, reload from the Site of Grace before the end and choose again.
New Game+After the ending you can start New Game+ with all your gear – a good way to chase the remaining endings.
